Learn more about Hubble’s successor, the James Webb Space Telescope

NASA have created a short, but informative video, describing the features of the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA’s next-generation space telescope.The video is narrated by popular film and television voice actor, Peter Cullen, who is famously known for voicing Optimus Prime in the recent Transformers films.

‘Magic Island’ spotted on Titan

Scientists have outlined their best explanations for a ‘magic island’ that has been discovered on Saturn’s moon, Titan. The bright, mysterious geologic object appeared and later disappeared in a location where one had not previously existed. NASA’s Cassini spacecraft captured a photo of the “island” during a flyby, but it had vanished by the time Cassini next passed by.

This gorgeous photo was captured by The Herschel Space Observatory who uncovered this unusual ring of dusty material while obtaining one of the sharpest scans to date of a huge cloud of gas and dust, called NGC 7538.
