International Space Station Expedition 38/39 Commander Koichi Wakata and Flight Engineer Rick Mastracchio have recently returned from their 6-month mission on the station and have spoken to NASA about their amazing experience in space.

Returning to Earth, with a bumpy landing, on May 14th, Rick and Koichi officially ended their 188 day mission on the International Space Station. The crew spent over 6 months in space, travelling 79 million miles and completing more than 3,000 orbits of the Earth since they launched to the International Space Station back in November 2013.

The duo, who have been completing medical examinations and debriefings since they landed, recently spoke to NASA Television about life in space.
