Expedition 41 Flight Engineer Barry Wilmore of NASA (left), Soyuz Commander Alexander Samokutyaev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos, center) and Flight Engineer Elena Serova of Roscosmos (right) are pictured walking off the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre plane after arriving at the Baikonur Cosmodrome for final prelaunch activities ahead of their launch to the International Space Station later this month.

The Expedition 41/42 crew are now in the homestretch; participating in final training sessions and performing traditional ceremonies before their launch.

The trio will liftoff from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on September 26th (Kazakh time) in their Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft for a six-hour, four-orbit flight to the space station.

Wilmore, Samokutyaev and Serova will spend nearly six months living and working aboard the orbiting complex. Serova will become the fourth Russian woman to fly in space.
