The sun rises at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan as Expedition 41/42’s Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft is rolled out by train to the launch pad ahead of lift-off on September 25th.

Launch of the Soyuz rocket is scheduled for 8:25pm GMT on Thursday, September 25th (4:25 p.m EDT). It will carry Expedition 41 Soyuz Commander Alexander Samokutyaev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), Flight Engineer Barry Wilmore of NASA, and Flight Engineer Elena Serova of Roscosmos into orbit to begin their five and a half month mission aboard the International Space Station.

NASA Television coverage will start at 7:30 GMT (3:30 p.m. EDT) and will include footage of the crew’s pre-launch activities leading up to spacecraft boarding.
